Help! Cut on nipple and desperate [TMI pic]

I posted the other day that I have a cut on my nipple that hurts like the dickens.

Went to the doctor and she said since I’m not feverous they won’t give antibiotics so just do antibiotic ointment and try a nipple shield.

Wellll she refuses the nipple shield. She’s 9 months and has never used one so it’s just not gonna happen.

I salt water rinse after each nursing session and apply ointment but it seems to be getting worse. And the wound seems to be getting bigger.

How can I help this without stopping nursing and losing my supply?! Do I stop nursing on this breast?

pumping hurts also, if not more than nursing even on the lowest setting so should I just hand express this side? I have no clue what to do.
