If you have RH- blood did you receive Rhogam?

I have A- blood and my doctor wanted to do the Rhogam shot at 28 weeks. I'm 27 weeks and had spotting last night so they told me to come in and get it done early today. I did because of the spotting but after I had it I went home and was so tired I passed out for 3 hours and I don't typically nap. I still don't feel right. Are any of you ladies getting the Rhogam or did you refuse?

I decline during pregnancy, and only get it after birth once we test baby’s blood and it’s necessary due to baby’s blood type.

Yes, it's critical for the health of future pregnancies! If both you and your partner are negative, or you've had an earlier test to be sure baby is negative, you don't need it, but otherwise it's really important. I'm O- and my husband is A+ so I got one dose around 28 weeks in case I came into contact with baby's blood in labor or earlier. After she was born they tested her and she's A-, so I didn't need the second dose!

My husband is positive. I am negative. I did get it during pregnancy with my first. I didn’t even need it because she was born with a negative blood type. 
With my second, I didn’t get it during pregnancy, but I did get it after. She was born with a positive blood type. 🙂

They are many many testimonies of women who do not receive this injection and have perfectly healthy babies. The first thing is to get the baby daddy tested. Doctors don't ever test for the Fathers blood type, but if he's negative, then there's no need. Please do some heavy research on this topic because they will want to give it to you again after baby comes.

I did not. Tested baby’s blood after birth and it was negative. So I’ve never received rhogam. Ever.

I’m not negative but my sister is. She almost died & almost lost her daughter because of it because she thought it would be. Her daughter had hemolytic anemia because of their blood mixing. Look up hemolytic anemia in newborns if you’re still worried about rho-gam effects.
