Pumping FAIL!
I’m a first time mom and I suppose because of the fact that my pump came with 24mm flanges and the nurses gave me 24mm nipple shield while in the hospital I assumed that I had 24mm nipples. Well after experiencing discomfort while pumping I went up to a size 27mm. I would dread pumping because it was always just a nuisance and never fully comfortable. Flash forward to 12 weeks postpartum and I see someone suggest to a FTM to check out a website and print out a nipple measuring tool to determine her nipple size. I want to hug that woman! After 12 weeks of annoyance I measured my nipple and realized I’m a size 15 mm! I wish I would’ve known they made such sizes! So I figured I’d pass along this information to help any other clueless mamas out there.
