Frustrated even though I shouldn’t be?

I’ve been trying to plan a little getaway since the beginning of the year . Kept getting pushed off and pushed off. Finally this weekend we were gonna go. We have been having issues and I figured the trip would help. Now his grandpa is really bad an is liable to pass away by tonight. So the getaway is canceled so we can use the saved money to go up to his grandpas funeral. So we are from the same home town so I asked if we could stay a couple extra days and he is upset that I asked even tho every funeral we’ve gone to for my family (which has been quite a few) we’ve stayed a while and did other things. Am I in the wrong to be upset to wanting to stay a couple extra days or do I have every right to be frustrated?
