So I got the 2nd half of my genetic test results back a week after they said they would call me which felt like a bad omen but I tried to stay positive! Turns out I did test positive as a carrier for Batten Disease which isn't a problem as long as hubby isn't a carrier but gives baby girl a 1 in 4 chance of being affected by the disease if he is and gives her a 50 percent chance of at least being a carrier. This disease is scary and fatal to children even though it is crazy rare but please cross your fingers, pray, send good vibes, whatever you do please do so for me! Getting hubby's blood drawn ASAP to find out if he is a carrier also and very tempted to save up and get my 2 year old son checked genetically as well since he has a different father. Just don't want any surprises in the future!!
