1. Anyon1e else have to have a second d&c because of small amount stuck inside? I might have to have 2nd procedure but concerned ; 2: did it affect your fertility? If no, did you have any other procedure or medical pull?

I had to have a second d&c. I’m not sure if it affected my fertility. Im on month 7 of ttc since. However you can’t get pregnant with retained product or conception. So I didn’t feel there was another option but the second procedure.

I’ve taken the pills you insert and my cervix closed before expelling everything so had to have a D&C. I will say this if the dr is heavy handed or scrapes too hard you can develop some scar tissue, sometimes depending where that scar tissue grows it can affect fertility. I had some found when i had a hysterscope procedure done. Mines didn’t affect fertility because it was not near my tubes. A saline ultrasound can detect any abnormalities in the uterus. You can always ask for a follow up ultrasound with saline if you have insurance.
