Long Story, Weird Question. Freaking wisdom teeth, sedation, and periods don't mix 🙄

Samantha

It might be a stupid question, but here it is:

I had my wisdom teeth out today. FML, I know. I started my period yesterday, so going into the procedure on Day 2 of my period (ya know, when you're bleeding like your vag was freaking Mt. Vesuvius), I was SO concerned about bleeding through when I got out of the chair after surgery. I went in with a super tampon in, and wearing a pad just to be safe.

Apparently I was "awake" for a couple of minutes before I remember waking up, and was coherently asking the nurse to please get my supplies bag from my mom so I could change my tampon (I remember none of this).

So I came to, sitting on the toilet, bloody gauze hanging out of my mouth, nurse knocking on the door making sure I was ok, and confused AF, having already changed my tampon. BUT, I don't remember if I took the old one first or not because it would have happened RIGHT before I became fully awake and aware of where I was/what was going on.

SO. My question is: Has anyone ever put a new tampon in before taking the old one out? Be it because you were exhausted and not paying attention, drunk, whatever. If so, how did you figure out there was a other one up there? I would assume I would be super uncomfortable if I had 2 supers in, but I'm SO paranoid that there's another one up there. I fished around a little for it after removing the one I had put in at the surgeon's office a few hours later and didn't feel the string or anything, and I'm sure I'm fine. I'm just needing sone piece of mind.

It's been a long day y'all 😔😫
