How to help baby sit?

Hey May Baby Mamas! How are you helping your little ones practice sitting?

I lay her on her back and hold her hands/wrists and start to pull her up and let her do most of the work. Then I also place her in a seated position and just sit next to her and support her!

I haven't really done anything in particular. My son now tries to pull himself into a sitting position though (born 26th May). He can't quite manage it but he's really close! He has a lot of tummy time though because he's constantly rolling onto his tummy and playing by himself (he is also trying to crawl already but doesn't have the coordination to succeed yet).

I’ve been sitting behind my daughter recently. Also she has this sit down activity thing she sits in that’s practice. Tummy time. They really need a strong core to be able to sit up

I just let baby sit in my lap and hold him up. The best thing you can do to prep them is tummy time- tummy time strengthens all the muscles they need to sit.
