Tat on ribs?

I have a tattoo idea that I would like on my ribs. It’s a medium sized tat and would be my first tattoo I’ve ever gotten. I have a high pain tolerance but everyone is saying I’m crazy and it will hurt but it’s obvious that there’s going to be some pain. Has anybody gotten a tat on their ribs and how bad did it hurt for you?

I have 3 on my ribs. I rather get a tattoo on bone than on soft tissue. It didn’t hurt for me! Everyone is different though but if you have a good pain tolerance, you should be fine 😊

I don't have one on my ribs, but I do have one on the inside of my wrist and it didn't really hurt.  It burned a little but I fish mind it.  The worst part was having my drunk mother there filming and taking pictures 🙄

I have two rather large tattoos on my ribs. One on either side. I would not recommend a rib tattoo for your first but that is only my opinion. They were uncomfortable but not intolerable.

I have 2 on my ribs. They didn’t hurt much the concern was controlling my breathing so that some of the detailed lines would come out nice and straight.

I have one on each side of my rib cage and honestly they have been my easiest tattoos. I’m covered right down to my toes 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

I have my whole side done.
From about 4 inches from my arm pit down to my waist line.
I thought the part that hurt the worst was my love handle. The boney parts didn’t hurt at all.

I got my first there and it honestly wasn’t as bad as people said it would be. If you love the placement do it! The pain is temporary, the tattoo is forever! 👍🏼

The one I got on my ribs didn’t really hurt it almost tickled lol but I’m also one of those peoples who loves the feeling of a tattoo gun 🤷‍♀️

I got a rib tattoo for my 1st and it wasn't bad at all. I didn't even flinch.

I have one, it was just a little uncomfortable to me. I'm one of the weirdos who like the pain from a tattoo. I wouldn't recommend a big rib tattoo for your first though. I would try something a little more realistic just so you have an idea of how it's going to feel when you go for a more sensitive area.
