By 6 or 8 weeks would I be able to hear my baby's heartbeat?

Would I be able to hear my baby's heartbeat at around 6 or 8 weeks I'm setting up my appointment so I want to know what to expect depending on how far along I am. I'm only about 4 weeks now.

I was able to see the heartbeat on the ultrasound at 6 weeks. We heard it for the first time at 10. :)

By 8 you usually can..I know usually thats one reason they usually wait for your first appt at 8 weeks..but I'd go ahead and call I was told I didn't need to at 4 weeks cuz they wouldn't see me till I was at least 8 weeks so I called at 7 and didn't have my first appt until 13 weeks..

I went in at 7 weeks I believe, and saw and heard it, so it really just all depends. It was pretty strong too!
