Femara works once and not another cycle?!

Question

Has anyone experienced letrozole/femara being effective one cycle and not another? 
I felt I had strong positive ovulation results my first cycle ( didn’t result in pregnancy) and this second cycle I and fairly confident that I didn’t ovulate. Unless something wonky happened with testing and I just missed the window, I just don’t know that it’s happened this month. Blood test is this coming week to confirm or verify if it did or did not happen. 
I’m so confused
Has anyone experienced this?!?

Mine worked the first and second month I took it (no pregnancies) but last month it just randomly didn’t work. I thought it would never work again now (because that’s what my mind does lol) but I got a positive opk yesterday on cd23. The first round I O’d on cd 24 and missed it because I didn’t realize it would be so late. The second cycle it was day 16 so I’m all over the place 🤷🏼‍♀️ hopefully this was my last round and it finally results in my baby! 🤞🏻 good luck! Also I tend to wait until day 25-26 to do my progesterone blood test because of the later ovulations jic 😊

I know for myself-I always ovulate later on femara (anywhere from CD 16-18) and I have heard of women ovulating even later than that around CD 22+. Each time I took it I convinced myself it wasn’t going to work when I would get to CD 14  and then bam one day it does lol. Did you continue to use OPKs after when you normally thought you should ovulate? Possibly you ovulated later than normal? I would contact your doctor after this cycle if pregnancy test is negative or if you don’t start a period within the normal time frame (that would indicate no ovulation) and tell them your concerns-they may increase your dosage.
