estimated weight?

anyone else had a growth scan and had an estimated weight of the baby? how often are they right on weights? as i'm 31weeks their saying baby is 3lb 12oz i'm a little confused. first time mum it's all very new to me 🙈

My daughter measured around 9 pounds on the US a day before I went in and delivered her. She came out 10lb 13oz. I don’t think they are very accurate, but that’s also based on my experience! Lol

They aren't very accurate at all my aunt was told she was haveing a 12 pound baby she only came out ten pounds I was told last week my daughter is 6 pounds and I know she's probably only about 5 pounds maybe 4 all my kids have been small my oldest was only 6 pounds 13 oz my youngest son was 5 pounds 15oz

They aren’t so accurate that you should take it as gospel. Lord knows how many women out there were told they had to induce early or have a c section for their supposedly 10 pound baby only to birth a 7 pounder. It is a useful estimate but only an estimate.

I had a scan the day before my daughter was born. Ultrasound said 5lbs 11oz and she was 5lbs 3oz at birth. So they were about half a pound off
