September 12th I had a few sharp pains run across my belly while I was sitting on the couch. About two Minutes later at 7:20 I felt a small gush come out of me, I assumed it was discharge. I went to the bathroom, no discharge but my underwear were soaked. I wiped and the tissue was soaked and covered in light pink blood. I went for a walk and soaked through a pad, underwear and pants within 20 minutes. We were admitted by 9:20. My contractions were irregular all night and they started me on oxytocin at 6 am. By 12 I was only 1 1/2 centimeters dialated. I was taking Fentanyl for pain management however the contractions were getting

intense, they ended up gavinf me an epidural at 6 pm when I was only two centimeters dilated. By 7:45 pm I had dilated to a 4 1/2-5 centimeters. At 8 team of nurses rushed into my room and put an oxygen mask on me and made me roll to my side. They told me the baby was having trouble breathing, they tried repositioning his head to prepare for an easier delivery. They said baby had dropped and was very low. They tried pushing him back up. They had me put a peanut ball between my legs. At 8:30 they came rushing back in and checked my cervix, I was dilated to a 9 1/2. I could feel my baby trying to come out, the pressure was very uncomfortable even with the epidural. A nurse stretched me out the rest of the way and had me begin pushing. After my first push they realized the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck. They had me push several more times. He came out blue but They quickly got him crying. My baby boy was born safe and healthy on September 13th at 9:26 pm weighing 7lbs 9oz 18inches long. He has a fractured collarbone but otherwise is doing amazing. He was due September 10th.
