Telling partners?

Should I tell my future partners about my past and what happened to me.

Of course you should. Even in though it’s in the past, it will always be something that happened and no matter how  much you’ve coped, it’s still shitty and was still traumatizing and that’s something you partner should know about when you are ready to tell. It took me a while to share full details, even with my therapist because it’s obviously just shitty to talk about, but I’ve found that talking to my friends about it helped a lot because idk just talking to girls or women makes me more comfortable because we get assaulted more than men, so we’re just more understanding usually. I was so scared to tell my boyfriend because it’s happened multiple times and two of them weren’t even a year before we met, so I was afraid it was going to be a deal breaker or that I was too damaged, but that was dumb to think. He has been there a lot for me and even though it’s hard for him to hear, he loves me and he deserves to know everything, just so he could be as connected to me and as understanding of my issues and why I have them.

If your comfortable with sharing. 
I find open communication is the best, and talking really helped me after my sexual abuse, but you are not required to share anything you wish not to.

Telling them would bring you closer because they will understand how you truly feel and where your mind goes the second someone is in your personal space. They will understand to take better care and have greater respect for the privilege of being in your space. The only reason not to tell: if you don't feel right within yourself sharing it. Unless that person seems, to you, to deserve that privilege then yes share. But if not, don't. And whatever you choose to do there's nothing wrong with that as how you shield your heart is your right and responsibility.

I think it depends on you and the situation. But, I do tell. 
Personally, I’ve come a really long way from where I was, but I’m not where I hope to be, and don’t know if I can ever get there.  I still freak out (and by freak out, I mean shut down) at times, so I feel like I should. A guy I’m kinda talking to kissed me on the cheek, and I bolted. I couldn’t help it. I had already told him I was raped, but I still felt really bad. And I called him as soon as I calmed back down. I can only imagine how that would’ve went had I not told him.

Depends on what type of relationship it is , if it’s serious then yes if it’s causal no . Also make sure Yk that their reaction could go in any direction
