When to take ovulation test

Question

So my question is if I started my period the 10th of September when should I start testing? I read that women start testing cycle day 10 so does that mean I count 10 days including the day I start my period? I’m a bit confused as to when ovulation actually occurs compared to the day the period starts.

It is confusing! So the day you start your period is considered cycle day 1 so yes you count that. And typically women start testing on day 10.
