Do your husbands/bf work overnight?

How do you handle your bf working overnights. I’ve been doing it for a few months now and I live with him and I’m just glad I don’t work right now or I would never see him. He used to work 9pm-11AM now he works 7PM-330AM which is better but I try not to be selfish because he gets paid well and does it for our future but we love to spend time together and it never gets easier when he works like this. He just started a new job and wants to tell them within a few months if he can switch schedules because he’s not a fan of the overnights either. We have no kids either. So I’m just home with the dog. How do you handle it?

Having opposite schedules is so hard, my boyfriend and I have sadly been in the same situation for basically our entire relationship. It seems as soon as I work nights, he works days, and vice versa... the only way I get through it is just reminding myself that hopefully sacrificing now, will lead to a better tomorrow

My husband and I did this for years because he wasn’t ready for our little ones to go to daycare. We worked opposite shifts and only really slept together two nights a week but we made it work because we both felt it was best for our family.

I used to. it was hard but you just deal with it. I usually just went to sleep lol I didnt wait up for him. he woke me up when he came in and we talked as he showered and got ready for bed then fall asleep together

I don't know how people do it! I give everyone so much credit for it. My husband only has to do it once in a while, literally once or twice a year. I absolutely hate it. They're trying to get him to do it in October and I told him absolutely not. I'm due in 2 weeks with our second, there's no way. Plus it's Halloween week and it's the first time we are taking our son out.

My husband just started working 3 am to 9 am and then school from 10 am to 4 pm and I work 8am to 6pm and he’s usually sleeping by the time I get home from work. I wake him up for dinner and then we go to sleep. It sucks but it’s how we’re saving money right now so we can have a solid financial future.

My bf has worked overnight for most of our relationship (we have been together for 5 years).  It can be rough at times but we make the most of it. We have lived together since we were together for 6 months and I had a daughter from a previous relationship so I've been busy with her while he is sleeping and at night I try to get in some me time while he is at work. We have tried to make the time we do have together special but it can be hard at times. I am now pregnant with our 3rd (he is the only father my oldest knows so he considers her his) and it has gotten complicated but we are making it work. We only have to deal with nights til December though so we have an end in sight when he goes back to climbing towers but he will be going out of town for a week at a time once he starts that job again so that will be a whole new set of challenges.

My boyfriend used to. But he still worked during the day too.
So his day was like this; first job at 9-10am and stay there until anywhere between 6-10pm. (Some days he’d get a break of about 2 hours in the middle of the day and he’d go home and nap) Then hed rush home for something to eat, shower and get to his second job at 11pm. He’d be there until 6-7am and start all over. He had like two days where he didn’t work the overnight shift.
It was tough on him, he hated it. He only did it for a few months, he just wanted the extra money to pay off his car a year early. Towards the end he liked the extra money, but didn’t think it was worth it. There were a lot of nights that he just called in because he couldn’t stay awake. It’s miserable. If we didn’t work at the same place for the first job, I wouldn’t have seen him for more than an hour or so every day. When he wasn’t working, he was sleeping. And it even got to the point that our boss at our first job would send him home a little early so he could sleep longer.

Ugh, yes. My fiancé travels and he is gone during the week days and comes back on the weekends. But he does have a week a month where he is back all week long. I have gotten used to it though for the most part. I take the time to do school work, see friends or family, or read and watch Netflix lol. I actually sleep better having the bed to myself though
