Are your children closer to maternal or paternal grandparents?

obviously when I have kids they won't get the luxury of ever knowing my parents or even great grandparents because whilst my father's mother is still alive she's dead to me.
when I was really little I was closer to my paternal grandparents but loved my maternal grandmother more and still to this day have more love for my maternal grandparents even though I never met my maternal grandfather and my maternal grandmother is no longer here either they mean more to me

We don’t have kids yet but it will definitely be equal with how we are with both sets of parents right now. Our parents live 10 minutes from each other and we split our family time pretty equally now and everyone on all sides get along really well. Which is different from how my upbringing was and it makes me feel better about even having kids honestly.

My husband and I both come from families or divorce. My son has 4 sets of grandparents as they are all remarried. It goes in order of closeness my mom, my mother in law, my dad, father in law. My mom watches my son well I work so he’s very close with her. She also lives on a big farm and he loves playing with me mom most. I think it’s pretty typical for the maternal grandparents to be the closest bcs many women lean on their mothers for support and child care

Personally I’m closer with my maternal grandparents. I’m very lucky to have both sets of grandparents, a set of maternal great grandparents alive and to have known two other great grandmothers. My mother’s family though are disabled and can’t work whereas my dads side worked as long as they could so I spent the majority of my childhood with my maternal grandparents

My maternal. My dad’s father is passed and his mom lives quite far away. We have lived with my parents a few times to save up money, and that’s going to naturally make us closer to them.
