Anyone still having trouble finding heartbeat on Doppler at 15 weeks?

I always end up finding it, but at 15 weeks I’d think id end up finding it quicker by now. And the Doppler hardly ever reads the heartbeat on the screen...

Do you know if you have an anterior placenta? I do and even my midwife can't hear the heartbeat with the doppler. I'm 16w.  If you have an anterior placenta it can take a long time to be able to hear it!

I have a Doppler and it was taking a while to find the heartbeat. I’ve gotten the hang of it a little more but still a challenge. Also I don’t think my monitor reads the bpm correctly if at all sometime. I put it on my own heart and it can’t read the bpm right either. I’m just happy to hear it. Are you using enough gel??

I’m 14w2d. Yesterday at the doctor two different people tried to get the heartbeat on Doppler but couldn’t. I had to have an ultrasound and baby was just fine. Can be baby movement or location of placenta that causes it.

My Doppler has never picked up the heart rate reading. Im 15+3 and I always find my baby’s heartbeat about an inch directly under my belly button, sometimes I have to press quite firm with the probe and move it about a bit like a joystick! Takes a few minutes to find sometimes as well. I think this baby just likes to play games..when I had my ultrasound he/she wouldn’t keep still to be measured 😂

A lot of at home Doppler’s don’t work well until 20 or so weeks. If you have an anterior placenta it’ll be harder.
