Cat owning ?

Debating on becoming a cat owner. Never had a cat but I'm really thinking about getting one. Can anyone tell me your experience or cat stories/ tips .

Don’t get a cat based on its looks! So many people do that and usually end up with a beautiful but bitchy no-fun cat. Spend a little time with the cat to make sure you think it will be a good match. Cats are the best! Find a good cat and you will wonder why it took you so long to get one. Some rescues will be honest about personalities and can help you find one to best match your lifestyle. Kittens are beyond cute but you don’t have to get a kitten to have a bond. Most of my cats were found/rescued as adults and they are my babies and they are amazing. Cats live for a long time. A 4 year old cat still has probably a good 12 to 14+ years with you. My 14 year old acts like a young kitten still. He’s very playful and a lot of fun. And don’t let them outside... some rescues won’t even let you adopt if you elude that the cat will venture outside.

I have two cats one we got when my gran died he was about 4yrs old at the time. He's such a cuddly goof ball and just sleeps all day.
The other one I got as a kitten for my husband (she doesn't like him but loves me🤷) she's super demanding follows me to the toilet has to be in the room when I have a bath. She has different moews for food, attention and where are you? 
Every cat has a unique personality, they take up more time than you ever thought, there's feeding, grooming, playing, cuddle time and just trying to keep your house tidy is nightmare fur goes everywhere.
But I wouldn't give them up for anything the love they show me just amazes me.

Iv had two cats both completely different personalities in my experience don’t get the pretty looking ones like Persians they usually are very fussy and bitchy but that’s just my experience. They are amazing pets

I have owned cats my whole life and they are honestly the best pets in my opinion. They are hilarious, mostly independent, but will cuddle with you on there own terms. If you are wanting an active playful cat I suggest female, if you're more into a cuddle bug I suggest Male. Either way you can't go wrong, cats are the best.
