My significant other and I recently made the difficult decision to have an abortion. I had a surgical abortion about 4 weeks ago at 12 weeks pregnant. Even though I am fully pro choice, my personal journey through this process has been extremely traumatic. I just took a pregnancy test about 4 weeks after my abortion, and the test came back very faintly positive. I live in Utah, and am 2 hours away from the closest abortion clinic, so I am unable to go back to the clinic I went to, to check if I am still pregnant. My question is if anyone knows how long you can still test positive on a home pregnancy test after a surgical abortion? I don’t know if I could mentally handle going through another procedure.
