Debating whether or not if I should use my diaper bag as a hospital bag 🤔😭 what would y’all recommend for 1st time mommy?

I put babies things in diaper bag and mine in my carry on suitcase. I couldn’t have fit all my stuff in the diaper bag.

Bring another bag. The hospital will have goodies that you will want to take home.

My hospital you can take home everything, diapers, wipes, pads, all that Jazz. So I have a bag and baby has a bag. Then there’s plenty of room to take anything extra home 💜

So for a vaginal labor I would suggest different bags as you will not stay in the labor room usually.  We didn’t bring the going home stuff until after we were moved to our maternity ward room.
 
I am getting a csection this time and not packing much for the operation itself (my small backpack), and the baby bag will have all the going home stuff, snacks for our stay, toiletries, and so on for the recovery (csection stays longer than vaginal usually so...)

I have everything in a carry on.  My diaper bag is packed for my son to go to Grandma's.
