Should I be upset or am I over reacting

My boyfriend works nights which means he works 5pm-5am sometimes till 9am. That’s been for 2 years now. Its been really upsetting me that I haven’t been able to sleep next to him. This is 7 days a week. Can’t sleep regular hours on days off or it throws off his night schedule.

5:30am- comes home and showers

6:30am-3-3:30pm-asleep

4pm-out the door for work

So this is the schedule even when he’s off.

I know this is just the way it has to be but when I just want to lay down and enjoy my time with him he won’t even lay down with me on his days off. On his days off:

Wakes up, shower, eats, plays video games till literally 4am. He’s made me feel so alone I don’t see a reason to be in a relationship. Is this stupid? Am I over-reacting?

I know what your thinking. Do we do anything together? Yes we do, not as much as I would like. We probably haven’t been on a dinner date in 4-5 months maybe longer. Saturday is my birthday, he’s off for 3 days. I am hoping he can take time away from sleeping to celebrate with me.
