HELP I NEED TO BREAK UP WITH HIM

So basically there’s this guy and we’ve know each other for 3 years. We were really good friends for a year and then i stopped talking to him because he was an alcoholic at the age of 13 and thats really messed up. we started talking again last year and eneded up dating. i broke up with him because i thought the the relationship wasn’t working. he was devasted and was kind of doing dumb things. i recently apologized to him and we started dating again but i don’t think that i want to be with him any more. i know that it’s really bitchy of me, but i also don’t want to leave him broken again. what should i do? 💔
