Glucose test!?

I’m not trying to be rude or anything but why do people look for tricks to pass the glucose test? Gestational diabetes is caused by the placentas hormones. So if you use a trick and pass you’ll never really know if you have it. If you have it you have it. I guess what I’m saying is, I have gestational diabetes.. so just because I eat good and have good numbers sometimes that doesn’t mean I don’t have it anymore. Do you all get what I’m saying? If you have it you have it, there’s no tricks to not have it. Just tricks to manage it.

This! This isn’t a test you want to cheat yourself out of. 
That being said, I’ve seen a lot of people ask if they should be fasting beforehand (myself included). I think this is more just because every doctor has a different protocol so it can be confusing to us when that time comes. 
It’s just a nerve wracking test overall.

I feel the same way. It’s sucks to fail by a small amount and then pass the 3 hour, but better to be sure.

Yes! Just do what your doctor said (fast, not fast, sip on water during it, don’t drink anything, whatever) and see how it goes, then go from there. I think it does get confusing for people because some people are told to fast and some are told they can eat, and everyone is always trying to compare themselves to other people.

I think for people that try to cheat it, it’s cause they know what they need to do and know how to control their diet if they do have gestational diabetes! But yea I definitely wouldn’t cheat on that test!

Everyone complains about the taste 😑 I have had to take this test 4 times between both of my pregnancy. The drink is not bad at all I have had every flavor. Really really sweet and not the best kind of drink but not that bad. 🙄

I know when I posted asking for tricks I meant tricks as in how to recoup after having to take the test. I’m assuming others may be meaning the same thing as well
