So my little one has developed a rash on her chin over the last couple days. I put a call in to the doctor but I hadn’t heard back. They close early on Friday so I think they left without listening to the message. Has anyone seen this before? Should I take her to an after hours clinic?

My baby had similar rash at 2weeks and I was advised by her pediatrician to clean her face and apply adult cortisone cream with 1% hydrocortisone. It worked very well for my baby.

It does look similar to a drool rash w extra irritation. I dont think it’s an emergency and would put aquafor on before feeding, as a wetness barrier, also use a bib every feeding. Also are you using a perfume free & dye free detergent for hers and the family laundry? Baby skin can be sensitive so something could be irritating her chin. With your pediatrician permission see if it’s ok to use a little cortisone cream, depending on her age. Try not to worry too much. She’s a sweetie!

Im a first time mom so Im not completely sure but it kinda looks likes a drool rash. Has she been drooling a lot recently?

Awww poor babyyyy. I would take her to Urgent Care to make sure all is well... it looks painful :( Hope she feels better soon 🙏🏼
