My current rib tattoo. What to cover up with?

This is my current rib tattoo but I no longer like it and regret how it was done. I have a place in mind who do good tattoos, but cannot seem to think of anything meaningful that would cover it up. Any ideas?

If your issue is more with the work itself, and not the image, I would suggest seeing if a new artist can breathe life into it. The tattoo you have now is kind of plain and dull. Someone may be able to take your original piece, add bolder/cleaner lines, more colors and details (a quote maybe?) and give you something you love.

Personally I would talk with the artist who you plan to have tattoo you. They can tell you what will work and what won’t work. I think it’s hard for non tattoo artists to really picture what would properly cover an old tattoo just right.

Your artist could totally breathe new life into that tattoo for you. It looks like with a little extra ink, it could be a great tattoo. 
My husband got a crappy armband tattoo years ago, it was a lot like yours where it just had the basic lines, no shading or color. My husband went to a better artist who cleaned up the shaky lines and added shading. Now his tattoo looks phenomenal and he gets compliments all the time!
