Baby shower at 38 weeks?

Is this a normal thing or what? The beginning of October we are having both of my boys birthday parties together. I'm due Nov 29th. I figured we could have my baby shower beginning of November but the only day my hubby is off on a Saturday is the 13th. Putting me at having my baby shower at 38 weeks. 😳 At this point I am thinking if I have the baby beforehand, we can just bring the baby to the shower or my husband can go without me. Irdc. But he really wants a baby shower as this is his first and only bio child. It'll pretty much just be his family there. Financially we really need a baby shower for diapers. We already have one child in diapers so it's gonna get crazy expensive. We have everything else the baby needs. Is this weird? Or like should i just not even have one?
