Binder/Binding Help?

So I really want a binder, but my parents aren’t really fully accepting of my gender identity. So I don’t know how to convince them to get me a binder, so I was wondering if there are any safe ways to bind without buying an actual binder. I’m pangender/gender fluid. Also if you have any suggestions on how to convince my parents to buy me a binder please do tell.

There are a few free binder programs that will send you a binder without your parents' knowing. Otherwise, you could use sports bras.

What I did was tell them that it was for cosplay. They know that I’m really into going to comic con and stuff in costume so they begrudgingly accepted it. I’d bought it off of my friend already so,, kind of different situation I guess. Sorry I’m not helpful ahah

It isn't an ideal solution, but you can bind fairly safely with kinesiology tape. Look up instructions on how to do it though; you don't want to wrap your whole chest. You can get some pretty nasty blisters from it, but it's safe for your ribs. It also works decently well to use two sports bras (one backward and one forward), but I would be careful doing that and follow typical binder rules (no more than 8 hours and take a few days off a week).

I do know a really nice place to get binders. It’s called gc2b. Also, for using other strategies for binding, please do not use things such as ACE bandages. They can cause very harmful damage. Also try having a long talk with your parents about it. Good luck, babes! 💕
