How long did you wait to have sex after d and c?

I was 11.5 weeks when I found out the baby stopped growing at 8 weeks, they did the d and c 6 days ago and I really want to start having sex again, not trying to get pregnant but I think it would make us both feel better to be intimate again. My doctor said wait about 2 weeks. I’m just curious if any of you didn’t wait that long after being around 8 weeks along when you miscarried. Thanks in advance!

I was 14 weeks when we terminated a very wanted pregnancy for medical reasons. We waited 10 days, I was cleared by my doctor and we took it slow. After my miscarriage I was 10 weeks but the baby only grew 6 weeks. We waited about 10 days again, I don’t think we were cleared but we couldn’t wait. Sex is really important to us and we are usually very active. Having sex meant life returning to normal.

I was the same way. I was 11+2 baby only measured 8wk no heartbeat. I had a d&c Aug 1 and waited the two weeks for my follow up appt. Two days after we were cleared hubby and I were intimate. It was more about the physical connection than making a baby right after. Knowing that we were both ok and still loved one another

Waited for 6 days but we're very careful and used condoms. Doctor gave green light.
