TWW Tips?

SH

I have been studying about the TWW, because, well, so many of us drive ourselves nuts with the “am I? Am I not? I hope AF doesn’t show...When to test? Is that a symptom?” We’ve all been there. However, some things I’ve learned are helping me get my mind off of the TWW. Plus save money on the early testing.

1) The average time it takes most women to have “positive result” levels of HCG in their blood is 11 days after conception. For a urine test 12-14 days is average.

2) Implantation takes place 6-12 days after ovulation (with days 8-10 being most common). Implantation is when a woman will start experiencing rising HCG levels.

3) HCG doubles every 2-3 days (with a doubling of levels every 72 hours being average) for the first 8-11 weeks.

4) HCG levels vary widely among women, and many women with lower levels have perfectly healthy pregnancies. It’s a very individual number.

So, what does this mean? It means MOST women will not get a positive HPT until their missed period. There are exceptions, of course, and they are all over this app posting VERY early positive results “8/9/10/11 DPO” is still very early for most of us. But, woohoo! Good for them! It’s exciting, and It’s wonderful they have a platform to share these! Just keep in mind that for the majority of women a positive result is still a week or so away. Don’t be discouraged if you are not someone who gets an “early” positive HPT you may be pregnant, and it’s not showing up yet! Attitude is EVERYTHING, and it’s the hardest part of the journey. Just remember this is a process. It is a short process for some, and a long haul for others. Keep your chin up! Baby dust to everyone (including me!)😘
