Why don’t I feel/see my baby

So I am 16 weeks and I am starting to get concerned because I am still not showing at all, and not gaining weight like I keep seeing I should be. I’ve had 4 scans now and baby looks very healthy and moves around A LOT. But I have not felt him at all. This is my first so I think I’m just super paranoid about everything. Any advice would be appreciated!

I’m in the exact same boat. I’m actually still losing weight. All scans are great. My doc said as long as I’m eating well and staying hydrated, she’s not concerned. She said I’ll be hungry and craving things soon enough... and then the weight will start creeping on. For the women in my family at least, it was quite aways into their pregnancies that they began to show.

This is all very normal, only indicators or baby health are ultrasound, and heartbeat (and the height of your uterus but if I remember correctly they don’t start measuring the until later), they don’t ask you to follow movement until past 28 weeks. This might not help but showing and feeling some movement doesn’t mean anything is less likely to go wrong, unfortunately pregnancy is a stressful time and this is one of the reasons, just try and take a breath and remember your doing all you can for your body and baby and the rest is in the hands of nature/god or whatever you believe in.

I didnt feel movement until 17 weeks or later with my first. This time around im still in my pre-maternity jeans BUTTONED. And at my dr appt last week im down 1/2 lb. Today im at 17 weeks.

I wouldnt worry right now. For feeling movement, I did feel my daughter till I was 22ish weeks and it was hard the rest of the time because I had anterior plactena.

First time moms usually don’t feel movements till around 20 weeks it’s normal I didn’t feel any movements with first till after 20 weeks and I never showed with him ever and I had a healthy 6 pounds 6 ounces baby boy my second I got finally got my first bump at 16 weeks and I felt movements at 16 weeks too every one is different and every pregnancy is different

Most first time moms don’t feel movement till later. That’s totally normal. I also wouldn’t worry about weight gain if baby looks healthy on scans and your doctor isn’t concerned. My mom gained 12 lbs her entire pregnancy with my sister. They were both totally fine.

Ugh, same here! With my first, I started feeling him wiggle around 16 weeks. I am now 15 weeks, not showing, & can't feel anything. I just look like I came from a buffet.

You won’t feel it until about week 20 with your first. Also depends on where your placenta is, if it’s in front it makes it a little harder to feel kicks.

Definitely didn't feel my first until 20+ weeks! And even then it was pretty sporadic - I'd go days without feeling her move.

I’m 16w in 2 days and still weigh less than before I got pregnant. I also don’t feel anything. If I really feel around in the mornings laying flat I feel where my belly is hard. And get super bloated in the evenings
