Baby crib mobile?

Question

Are you using a mobile?
What about something that lights up? 
I got a sound machine with a projector but found a better sound machine with no lights. So I think I'm keeping the one with no lights but wondering if having something to look at during night will help him fall asleep. 
Suggestions?

No. I didn't use anything with my son and I won't use anything with this babe either. I find that once they use it to fall asleep to they will always need that to go to sleep and that doesn't work for me. An infant needs to learn to self soothe and does not need stimulation at night time when they should be sleeping.

We used one of those heart beat bears mainly so that she wouldn't be woken up by sounds in the house. But as for a mobile there was a ceiling fan in my daughters room that did the job just fine 😊. I wouldn't waste your money on one

I got a soother thing it projects an image on the ceiling and played music sounds and heartbeat. And it's voiced activated too

We had a mobile and found that we honestly didn't need it but the music/light box that straps to the side of the crib was one of the best purchases we ever made. My sons been in his toddler bed since a year and a half and we still have it strapped to the rail for him.

At 7 months during the night he started to turn it on himself at nighttime if he woke and he'd fall right back asleep and still does it at 23 months.

I got a projector and my LO would stare at it and not sleep. So I got a sound machine with a night light instead that does sounds and lullabies. It's called the first years and I love it. I keep the night light on all night and the music playing for about 30 minutes. It works well.

I just have a basic one that you wind up, mainly for when my daughter is awake and in her crib. She like the music.
