Legs up after sex?

Please tell me if you put your legs up afterwards for ttc?
I was told you should always go pee directly after sex to help prevent UTIs. But people seem to think this helps get you pregnant? I’d like to know what others think to put this to rest.

Keeping your legs up after sex is a myth. Sperm swims to the egg no matter what position you are in. It’s just silly and a waste of time. If you conceived after doing that, then it’s just a coincidence. It’s about timing, and other factors. As far as urinating after sex, yes, doctors advise to do so, because it helps prevent infections.

I don’t think it really helps majorly but at the same time it won’t hurt to try if you just want to give it a shot. Most of the time that people suggest stuff like that and say “I got pregnant with this tip” it’s moreso that they just got pregnant around the time they used the tip, which is most likely a coincidence, so don’t put a ton of stock into those types of tips.

Not your legs. Your hips. Your legs won't do anything. The purpose is to work with gravity. If your legs are just up, your vagina and uterus are still level. Put pillows under your butt, like a half bridge.

I’ve heard that. I’ve done that. I really think it’s a myth too. I read that once the sperm hits the cervix there’s more than enough for ttc even though it seems a lot comes out after sex. I just lay there for about 5 minutes then use the bathroom.

Personally I think it’s a myth. But my ex mother in law swears by it. She said she was ttc for like a year and her Dr told her to stand on her head after and she did and almost immediately got pregnant with twins 😂😂😂😂😂

If you’re TTC the best thing is just lay down for about 15 min afterwards. Don’t pee right away.
