Getting signed out of work?

Hi, question! So I have my 38 week checkup on Friday. My due date is October 10th, and I saw my work schedule came today, they scheduled me until October 7th 😩 it’s so hard being here I just want to be able to rest my body and I feel like I’m pushing myself too much now. (Was in school and work my entire pregnancy). 
Do you think on Friday I can ask my doctor to sign me out of work or get me a note so I can use my sick hours for the rest of my scheduled days? This is my first time going through this and  I want to be able to rest and feel more prepared... what do you think?

Absolutely u need rest now I also have got signed off at 361/2 weeks I was working 12 hour shifts in health care ! U need this rest dr will sign u off n Europe no problem

Yes!! You definitely should be resting! It’s complicated but google disability leave, FMLA, and CFRA if you happen to be in California. Also, contact HR at your work and they should be able to answer all of your questions.

Yes! My doc told me to stop working 2 weeks ago at 33 weeks - I worked a little past and she then gave me a letter to present to work and I was free! Now I get to rest and shop for baby girl! I think most work places will allow you to take time off as if 36 weeks?

Yes. Ask. Depending on your work policy, you could go on disability as early as 4 weeks before due date. Advocate for I yourself especially if your work is physical and requires standing and so forth. You deserve rest mama. Also you can use sick time at any point those are your days to use
