Vaccines or no??

Question

FTM here. My baby boy is due January 3rd and I’m wondering how you ladies feel about vaccinating your children. I’ve heard so many mixed things about them. I think I’m leaning towards only getting the necessary vaccines, like the ones that will be required for him to start school and that’s it. I would love some input. Thanks 😊

Definitely vaccinate. The only one we aren’t doing is gardisil.

So ...
A. You may find that findings a pediatrician that allows you to pick and choose or even space out vaccinations is... difficult.
 
B. Do your research.  I’m talking all pros and cons from legit sources.  Allergic reactions, etc.
 
C.  I personally am pro-vaccine.  I see no reason my children shouldn’t be vaccinated unless they have a reaction (my first has not had any bad reactions so far).  That being said... I think spacing out vaccines that first year is definitely an option.  It’s a lot, and some kids can not handle 4-6 vaccines in the same visit.  But note that this means more office visits AND not all pediatricians will allow this either.

I posted a question about this before asking opinions on it.... almost everyone here says to vaccinate. I just suggest you do your own research on all of them and see what you think is best for your child. Some choose to not vaccinate, vaccinate some, or delay vaccination until the child is older. My DH and I are in the same boat... just researching and trying to decide for ourselves what is best.

I say yes, vaccinate. I think it’s super important. Just my opinion though.

Vaccinate sick children rely on your healthy child be vaccinated. You don’t want to be responsible for passing the measles on to an already ill child. Talk to your doctors get second or even third opinions. Make sure your informed but think about if it was your child who needed communal immunity due to genetic disability or cancer or just being too young to be vaccinated. It’s each parents choice but the communal immunity we all enjoy now only continues to work as long as most of the population is immune.
