Cloth diapering pros and cons??

Question

Anyone care to share their Cloth diaper experience? Is it a pain in the ass? Cheaper or more expensive? I like that it creates less waste however washing them costs money for electricity and water too so I would love to compare and also which is easier?? Seems like disposable would be easier than taking dirty diapers home to wash when we are out and about... I really want to go green and be earth friendly however

My brother in law uses cloth diapers and recommended them to us. They said they are cheaper, there's an attachment you can buy for the toilet to rinse them off before washing them. But they still use disposable when out in public and we we're gonna give em a shot.

Cloth diapered my first, WAY easier! I just shook diapers of in the toilet once she was eating solids and everything else come out easily in the wash.

Pros:
Can buy used/already prepped/cheapo
Tons of colors and patterns 
Tons of fibers and types and fits to match EVERY baby’s needs = MUCH fewer leaks and irritation
Pretty mindless clean, one you have the right soap is a no brained
Quicker potty training 
Zero to very minimal diaper rash
Can be used for multiple babies (I’m going to spend NOTHING diapering this baby because we already have all our diapers)
Cons: 
Have to wash frequently to avoid smells
Have to wash on their own (or should, poo and pee covered clothes go in diaper loads though at our house 🤷🏻‍♀️)
Will want/need pants with give for baby because diapers are bulky— jeans are not fun for anyone.
Can be expensive if you get into “designer prints” or collecting patterns/diapers (that’s a thing) 
Need more room in diaper bag
Pocket diapers require stuffing which is a pain (we went fitteds/flats and covers, they’re awesome!)
There’s a lot of intimidating lingo in diaper groups and CD people can be snotty as hell.

I CD at home and on the go. I really don’t mind cleaning them at all since we have a sprayer.  I use a dekor diaper pail with the dekor wetbags (I have two wetbags and alternate them) to store the dirty diapers at home. For on the go with two in cloth, I’ll be using a baby K’tan weekender diaper bag. It has a built in wetbag. I currently use a timi and leslie Marie Antoinette diaper bag, which holds 4-5 stuffed pocket diapers no problem; for an on-the-go wet bag, I like the bumgenius wet bags because they fold up nicely into a Vera Bradley paci holder. 
As far as types, I like pockets on our toddler but I’m hoping to CD our coming newborn with prefolds and covers. For brands, I use a mix of sunbaby, bumgenius, Alva, kawaii, and charlie banana. I love the prints on the sunbabies, the fit of the charlie bananas, and the sizing of the alvas. The kawaii runs a bit small and the snaps of the bumgenius can be tricky if your kiddo is between sizes. 
The initial investment can be intimidating, but I firmly believe it’s worth it.
