Fiancé, his ex and his money. Need advice.

I saw that in my fiancée’s phone. I’m pregnant, and we are going to get married ( so by the law of our country all before and after assets and debts are going to be mutual.)

My fiancée doesn’t talk to his ex and he bought out her share in the house where we now live in. When I ask him, he said he has no debts or loans and that he paid off his ex as soon as he took a new mortgage on the house 3 years ago. Though he has some inheritance in another country, which I don’t have any access to and I don’t know exactly how much is there. I saw in his phone old messages from her and I am completely confused.

We are together from 2016 and the messages are from March 2018 and July 2018. And it’s been 3 years since my fiancée and his ex split up.

What do think is happening? I don’t know how to react on that.
