CRUSH 💗 OR FRIENDZONE

OMG so I have the biggest crush EVER on my childhood family friend (I'm 15, he's 16). Now the thing is that we both come from conservative families so im not hoping for a relationship until we're at least 18.

We've been really close growing up but drifted a little over the past year or so. Last month we had a week catchup together and seemed to click pretty well. Eg we walked side by side, had play fights (nothing inappropriate) in the pool, shared food .

The only thing that I kept wondering was whether I was friend zoned or not. When we were going through pics on his phone a pretty girl (whose probs older than me) kept appearing. He kept stopping on those pics briefly just to make sure I saw her. It wasn't in a rude way, more of a boastful showy off kinda way, the type that people do when they get new shoes and wanna casually flaunt em. Idk if that makes sense. Just to clarify, she is not his girlfriend! Only a friend he made at science camp.

There are things tho that I can only get away with compared to other girls: i can randomly throw things at him playfully, go through his phone, make fun of him, steal his snacks (again playfully), share embarrassing moments with, tickle fights when no one else is around.

But it's because of those things that make me wonder whether I'm only his friend or potential love interest. I have no idea whether he likes me the same way I do.

If anyone has been in a similar place with a "friend" pls share some advice 😁
