My boyfriend and I recently decided that we want to take it to the next step and have sex. I am nervous will it hurt? I am on the pill and he agreed to wear a condom. What should I expect from my first time? What can I do to make it special? What's the best position? Maybe I am getting worked up about nothing... please help!

Ok, relax lady! Condom, good. Discussed it with him first, good. That's a start! The first time can be a little uncomfortable, and it's important not to rush into penetration. Foreplay is important for both of you, and not just for pleasure. Your first time is momentous for a variety of reasons, least of all which you're connecting in the most intimate way with another human. That's a big deal - but try not to get too worked up about making it 'perfect'. It won't be, not at first. If you two care about each other, then it will be special by default. Sex, as I've read and experienced, isn't supposed to hurt. But you are shoving a penis up your vag, it's gonna feel uncomfortable at first,

but it shouldn't be real pain. If it hurts it might be because you're not wet enough which might be a you thing, but it also might be because your nervous. Either way, I suggest having a little lube near by just in case.

Also, talk him through it. Tell him to slow down if you need him to slow. Tell him you're okay if you're okay. Tell him "alright go faster now" when/if that's a thing. And, as cheesy as it sounds, have fun! Lol

From personal experience I thought my time was going to be horrible and I was terrified but it happen a day before I left to Germany for 2 weeks and I can say foreplay really helped ! Do anything to relax you ! When I had sex for the first time with my boyfriend the first 5 second ( it's honestly really fast) was uncomfortable. I didn't expect the pain to be over so fast but after the shock of pain I started to enjoy it and I didn't personally bleed but don't stress it to much. The less stress the better.

A little tip from a fellow women 😀 my first time was when I was 18 (which was a few months ago, lol I'm making myself sound so old!) but as I was saying I heard from many people that the guy finish super fast so Shockingly my boyfriend lasted ten minutes and when it was done, I knew he felt bad for finishing so fast so I fist bumped him and said " baby you lasted longer then 1 minute I'm so proud of you!" And then we started laughing! My advice is to not be awkward, your first time doesn't need to be awkward unless you make it ! And remember your boyfriend is going to be worried about how you are feeling and what's going on in your mind so don't be quiet and reassure him ! Good luck!
