I think it depends on how serious they were and how the break up was. If it has to be a secret then you already have an inkling that it’s not right. But the best thing you can do it take to your best friend. I personally wouldn’t mess with any of my bestie’s exes though. I’ve had it happen to me twice and it wasn’t a great situation

Definitely talk to your friend...It really depends on how they left things like if the broke up bc they lost feelings or thought they were better as friends that would help the situation... moreover I don’t know how close you are with your best friend but I’ve had some shitty “best friends” so sometimes I think it’s okay to chose a guy over a friend especially if it makes you happy (as long as you’re not a dick about it to your friend try to stay respectful towards her regardless)
