Lower back pain in the 2nd trimester?

Yesterday I was standing a lot at my gender reveal party and now today my right lower back side is killing me. It’s almost to the point where it hurts so bad to put weight on my right leg. I’m currently 17weeks. Anyone else experience this? What’s causing the pain? What did you do to manage it? I think I’ll make an appointment to see my chiropractor this week 😭

I’m 23 weeks and starting to get a lot of lower back pain too, it can’t be the weight as I have a tiny bump but apparently it can be where the placenta is lying or the sciatic nerve is being pressed on! Mine is on my right side and could also pin point exactly where! It’s very normal don’t worry x

Your chiro should definitely be able to help, so you're on the right track there! The growing baby can keep throwing your hips out of alignment and putting pressure on your spine all throughout the pregnancy. I'm dealing with major hip pain this week and can't wait until my chiro appointment tomorrow because of the relief! I haven't had to go in since about twelve weeks (I'm 21 weeks) so my last adjustment certainly lasted a while. I'll probably have to go more often now that baby is getting bigger and bigger!
