Birth question need help!!

So there’s a birth center in my town and I am SO wanting to work there. I don’t have any college classes under my belt yet bc I’m unsure of what exactly I want to go for, doula or Lactation consultant. I am so passionate about labor/delivery & breastfeeding. My daughter is 6 months and still breastfeeding. My question is would you feel comfortable with there being an extra person there at your birth doing whatever you’d need/want that wasn’t a doula? I’d love to work there as an extra set of hands but not exactly sure what I’d do. Another question I have is do you have any ideas of things I could suggest if they email me back? Thank you so much!!
