Is first appointment at 9 weeks normal?

I was confirmed pregnant at my primary care office. I had to get a new OBGYN and they set me up with my first appointment on November 6th. Over a month away.. I’ll be 9 weeks and 3 days at that point according to my app.. is that a normal time to get your first ultrasound? Just nervous . Thank you!

Yes that's normal. Usually most wont see you until 8-12 weeks along unless you have medical reasons to be seen earlier or history of miscarriages.

Yep! With my first two kiddos I had earlier ultrasounds because I had UTIs constantly so they wanted to check on baby. I had my first ultrasound when preggo with my son at 8 weeks & my daughter at 6 weeks. I’m due very end of January with my second daughter & I didn’t have an ultrasound until 12 weeks! But you get to see so much more at that gestational age ❤️❤️ Totally normal that OBs aren’t doing super early ultrasounds unless you medically need it ❤️ Congrats honey

Here you have a doctor's appointment around 8-9 weeks with blood samples being taking and such.
Then you have a 12 week scan at the hospital as the next thing.
It's honestly just a lot of waiting here at first.
