I’m 37 years old and have been married for four months. My husband and I are planning to start TTC in the next few months. I went off birth control a few months ago and have been dealing with an ovarian cyst.

Anyway, my has been pretty much the same since I was a teenager. I have a 31-32 day cycle that’s almost like clockwork, and it usually begins and ends with a day of light spotting. Over the last few months, I’ve started getting a faint pink discharge two to three days before my period starts. Maybe I’m overreacting, but I read that this is a symptom of perimenopause. I know I may not be as fertile as I was 10 years ago, but perimenopause already?? My mom didn’t go through menopause until she was in her late 50s, and there are other women in the family who had babies in their early 40s, so I don’t have a family history of early menopause. Have any of you experienced this? I really hope it’s related to going off the birth control, my ovarian cyst, or something else that can be addressed.
