Due June 6th first appointment November 27?!

This Is my first pregnancy and I am very unfamiliar with the whole process. I called my OB and they say they usually wait until 10-12 weeks before the FIRST appointment. According to my app and last period I am due on June 6th. They scheduled my appointment for November 27th. That just seems like SUCH A LONG TIME! Is this typical or should I look into a different doctor?

Thanks so much for all of your feedback. I honestly think I’m going to call another doctor. Especially with this being my first pregnancy I would rather have an earlier check in.

With my first I didn’t get seen until I was over 9 weeks, I think it just depends on the doctors office.

I am being seen oct 26th which I’ll be around 8ish weeks. I have never been seen earlier than 8 weeks. But honestly I would probably change doctors and be seen as early as they would let you just because you want to make sure everything is fine considering its your first.

I’m due June 3rd and won’t be seen until the 6th of November A little over a week behind 12 weeks. With my first I was seen at 8 weeks. I don’t see why I need to wait longer this time. The anticipation is already killing me!

Depends on the office. Around my area first appt is between 7-10 weeks.

I’m new at this too (also first time mom), but I got an appointment for oct 10th which will be 6.5 weeks for me. I also researched and switched Drs so this will be a new patient appointment & to confirm the pregnancy. I have heard others mention they have waited as long as you though at their doctors recommendation.

Yeah i am due June 9, my 8 week appointment is October 28 ..but at that appointment they won’t do an ultrasound or Doppler...only blood test. Then they will do Doppler at 10-12 weeks and first ultrasound at 18 weeks..I’m bummed it seems so far away.
This is my first pregnancy though with no issues in the past...

Standard practice in Canada you don't usually get seen until 12 weeks. I got offered an early ultrasound this time but that's only because I've had a miscarriage they said.
