can I ask for something stronger??

5 days out from c section and the pain is real.. I have ibproferne and percocet 5 but that is not enough . this is my second c section and the first wasnt this bad. I was wondering if I can ask for a different pain med. tyanks6

Are you staying ahead of the pain? Don’t wait for the pain to kick in to take the meds. I found that taking the meds 45 minutes before I’m due helps keep the spike of pain at bay. And rest!!!! We women do too much too early!!!

I had a combo of ibuprofen, oxy, and Tylenol that I took round the clock. I had to. Just keep taking your meds round the clock. The combo of oxy and ibuprofen seemed to work for me.

My pain was terrible. What worked for rectal diclofenac. All u need do is insert it anally  and Ull be fine in a short while

What worked for me is taking them after i needed to take them. Also my pain wasn’t as bad, this was my first c section. I got some hydrocodone I’m not sure if its more strong or not

You can always ask. I was sent home with oxy after my c-section.

You can ask, but there’s no guarantee they will give you something. It’s worth a shot if you’re in that much pain.
