Oliver- baby boy name too popular?

Want the name Oliver for my baby, plus my Man is dead set on the name...but it says it was in the top 10 last year... 
and rising 😣
I know NO Oliver babies....do you know a any Oliver babies?

The thing is, I’ve heard of so many people naming them Oliver but I don’t actually know or know of an Oliver in real life so I just went ahead and out that it wasn’t too popular.

So, yes it's top 10 & therefore "common," but there are so many names that that actually only means 1 out of every 150 male babies is named Oliver (I used the statistic that someone posted in their comment). It's up to you whether that's too common for you, but it does explain why so many of us (myself included) don't personally know any babies named Oliver!

The statistics aren't made up. It's definitely very popular and probably going to get more popular. Whether it's "too" popular for you is of course up to you.

I live in a small town and I know like 4 kids named Oliver. I LOVE the name and wanted to use it for my son, but i chose to pick something a little less popular. 
It's totally a personal decision. If you love the name and want to use it, do it! :)
