Does anyone else notice

Decreased baby movements at 35 weeks on? My baby moves but it seems that she is a lot lazier than usual recently. I go to the doctor twice a week now of which one is an ultrasound & baby seems perfectly fine. It just really freaks me out and I have to break out my fetal heart Doppler to reassure myself! I know it’s cramped in there... she moves here and there but just seems like she sleeps a lot more.

A doppler is only showing you 1 facet of possible fetal well being so please don't think that just because you hear something on a doppler everything is fine. I'm not saying something is definitely wrong, but unless you get checked out you won't know. With less real estate the movements should be easier to feel, not harder (UNLESS you have an anterior placenta). Try drinking some ice water (which tends to wake a sleepy baby- it may sound weird but it works), and do your kick counts. But please put the doppler down. It's not a diagnostic tool.

Have you been doing kick/movement counts? Even with less space you should still be feeling the same number of movements as is baby’s normal. They might be more rolling/stretching-like, but the number within a given time shouldn’t change. I would give your provider a call.
