6 weeks today and brown discharge??? What is this?? No cramping, but I'm freaking out. I had a missed miscarriage in January but it was the baby that had died and my body would not let go of the pregnancy. So this is scaring me. Is this normal?

Update: woke up this morning a few times to go to the bathroom and no bleeding but severe nausea. That's a good sign!  Worst morning sickness I can remember having. Thank you, God, for this morning sickness!!!

Another update!  Had a second ultrasound today and baby is there with a heart rate of 134bpm!  I also have a subchorionic hematoma which is apparently what caused the bleeding. WHEW!!!!!

This happened to me last week. It was my last day of week 6. Called the doctor and he said as long as it is brown and no cramping it is fine. We did ultrasound the next day and everything was normal with the baby!!!

I am almost 8 weeks along and I get this all the time. It's nothing to worry about- perfectly normal!

I had that my whole first week. Looked just like it without cramping. Went to ob. Levels were rising. The Friday after I found out it turned red. Freaked me out. So we went to the er. My levels were still rising as they should the sac was implanted properly. I had a follow up with my ob that Monday and my levels were still increasing. She said it could be a number of things. Old blood or even tiny open blood vessels down there from all the changes. They told me if it gets heavier and red with cramps to go back to the er. But there's no harm in going to the er to be checked for some piece of mind either.

I am going thru exact same situation. I had a miscarriage last year. 6 weeks and light brown spotting today. Freaking out. My doc has ordered hormone level test today... Fingers crossed.

I will do the same for you. If it gets to much you can always go to the er. There is nothing wrong with that. I honestly needed to hear from a professional everything was ok. I was so stressed out it was making it worse.
