blonde to red hair?

My hair is platinum blonde and I want bright red hair, or maybe like a deep red. one that doesnt come off on everything, and doesn’t fade super fast. any suggestions how to get this? should I dye it dark before? how do I get it to not fade so quickly? Thank you so much

I would also Purchase a red shampoo and conditioner, as well as a special depositing Glaze. You can get the Glaze from Sally's and use it in the shower once or twice a week.

Ive been doing hair for about 6 years and ive found arctic fox hair color is my go-to for bright, especially red. My favorite trick is mixing a little of the color i use into conditioner and using that to refresh between touch ups! Dont color it darker first or the red wont show as well. Make sure you arent over-washing your hair, and dont wash with hot water, it will strip the color out faster. Any products like hair spray or gel containing alcohol will have the same affect.

Ive never had a red dye that didn’t fade quickly and I’ve tried many many brands. The one that faded the least was splat but it kills your hair

Red is always going to fade quickly no matter what. It’s just bc the type of pigment it is. If you’re blonde you’re hair will need to be regimented or the color will not stay or turn pink. Dying it dark first it wont be vibrant. But it's important you know that colours like that dont last and the first few times going over blonde they wont stick and will fade very quick.
